New York Times best-selling author Connie Briscoe appears at Jackson library

JACKSON—Ocean County Library Jackson branch (2 Jackson Drive) is hosting a special author visit with New York Times best selling author Connie Briscoe at the Jackson Branch on Saturday, October 24 at 2 pm.

Briscoe has been a best-selling author for over a decade, spanning five best-selling novels about the lives of modern women. The Maryland-based author overcame a hearing impairment to follow her dream of being a writer.

Briscoe’s debut novel “Sisters & Lovers” sold over 750,000 copies, chronicling the lovelife, families and careers of African Americans. This June, her long awaited sequel, “Sisters & Husbands” was released.

“Sisters & Husbands” features the return of “Sisters & Lovers” character Beverly who is at a crossroads at her life, wondering if marriage really works. “Sisters & Husbands” has received strong reviews from USA Today and Amazon.
