Our celebration starts with guest speaker Judith Krall-Russo on the importance of harvests past and ends with delicacies from local restaurants while also celebrating the 35th anniversary of our Lacey “Friends” group. Lacey library begins series of staying healthy programs

FORKED RIVER—Lacey Branch Ocean County Library (10 E. Lacey Rd., Forked River) is offering a series of “Staying Healthy” programs to share strategies for healthy living with the community.

Leading the programs will be nutritionists Daniel Bies, D.C., MS, CA, and Erin Bies, MS, CA, from Health Builders Wellness Center in Forked River.

The first program “Beyond Diets I” begins at 7 pm on September 29. It will cover a variety of topics including overfatness, weight loss supplements, body composition, why diets don’t work, the benefits of exercise and much more.

Future programs in this series include “Beyond Diets II” on Tues., October, 20, “Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women” on Tues., November, 17. These programs begin at 7 pm.
