Jackson to host SAT test & strategy programs

February 24, 2010

A fully-proctored simulated SAT examination will be held at the Jackson branch of the Ocean County Library (2 Jackson Drive) Saturday March 6th from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m to show students what they can expect from the college-admission test.

Students will then receive a comprehensive analysis of the results and test performance that will detail their individual strengths and weaknesses.

Serious college-bound students are invited to make the most of this free opportunity to help them score well on the SAT.

Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions will then provide a free, follow-up seminar, SAT Strategies 101, on Tuesday March 9th at 7p.m. to explain the test results and answer any questions students and parents have. Taking the SAT practice test is not a prerequisite to attend the strategies seminar.

During this one-hour workshop, students will learn how to score higher on the SAT using key Kaplan strategies. The format and content of the test are covered, including ways to take advantage of the test format to maximize efficiency on the exam. Question types are reviewed and answered using key strategies, giving students a study plan for success!

Space is limited so students should register promptly for the practice test. Both students and parents are welcome to register and attend SAT Strategies 101. People can register in-person, by telephone (732) 928-4400 or online at www.theoceancountylibrary.org .
